Resources regarding safety for watersports.
RNLI
The RNLI has a wide range of safety resources that are of use to canoeists and kayakers.
Serious Fun
This is excellent follow on material from a beginners course and an all round introduction to water safety. Copies can be ordered via the RNLI web site.
Sea Safety
This covers many aspects of sea safety relevant to canoeing and kayaking. The booklet includes a CD-rom which runs on Windows PCs and Macs which has very useful pictures, videos, demonstrations and interactive exercises on the collision regulations, lights at sea, flares, emergency procedures and much more. This is an excellent resource for someone progressing beyond BCU 2 Star.

The Port of London Authority
The Port of London Authority and the BCU have produced a poster sumarising advise for canoe and kayak users of the tidal River Thames.
