Help:Wiki terms
A few terms used when talking about a wiki.
A wiki is a collection of web pages that can be edited by the users.
A wiki page is text with headings and perhaps images.
The highest level are Level 1 Headings - created by using 2 equals signs at the start and end of the heading.
Lower level headings are also possible. The lowest level are Level 5 Headings - created with 6 equals signs at the start and end of the heading.
It is generally A Bad Thing if a page has more than two different levels of headings - this is generally a sign that the page should be divided into several smaller pages.
A Table of Contents will be generated automatically when a page has four or more headings.
The headings divide a wiki page into sections.
If a page has Level 1 Headings, then edit links will be provided which allow the editing of an individual section.
