Sea Kayaking Rep

Sea Kayak Rep:

• Generally encourage members to try sea kayaking if they haven’t before. Talk to members about exciting sea kayaking trips both past and present.
• Organise club sea kayak trips
• Encourage and support others to organise club sea kayak trips
• Give information about training opportunities including the theory side such as navigation, tides and trip planning. Highlight external training /events if relevant such as symposiums.
• Try to uphold the traditions of club exchanges to allow paddlers access to different waters.
• Supporting equipment officers to maintain and source kit and boats for the club
• Working with training officer to ensure paddlers have opportunity for the development of their skills and progression within the sport
• Oversee spending of sea kayak section budget
• Assist basin liaison reps with list of private boat storage
