<p><b>New page</b></p><div>Any page can be renamed - or "moved".<br />
<br />
When pages are renamed, there is always the issue of broken links from existing pages.<br />
<br />
Before the page is renamed you can check what links to it.<br />
* Go for the "What links here" page in the toolbox.<br />
<br />
When you rename a page, you can also leave a redirect, which will pick up any old links.<br />
* When the last of the links is updated, then you can delete the redirect page.<br />
<br />
After a page has been moved you can see what it used to be called<br />
* via [[Special:RecentChanges|Recent changes]] in the wiki menu<br />
* or via the [[Special:Log/move|move log]] itself<br />
<br />
There is also a report that will tell you if there are broken links.<br />
* Go to the "Special pages" link in the toolbox<br />
* The one you want is [[Special:WantedPages|Wanted pages]]<br />
* i.e. pages which are linked to, but which do not exist.<br />
* The list includes a count of how many pages link there.<br />
* The count is a link to the "What links here" page which shows you which pages.<br />
